The Middle Smithfield Township Zoning Hearing Board consists of a five member board and one alternate they are appointed by the Board of Supervisors.  Members serve terms on a staggered basis.

The Zoning Hearing Board meets when there are requests for variances, special uses, interpretation of regulations and appeals from the Zoning Officer. These meetings are advertised and open to the public.
