It's still summer, but fall is right around the corner and the Monroe County Conservation Annual Bird Seed Sale is going on now.
Bird feeding provides a wonderful opportunity to view the birds in our backyard up close. Prices have fallen slightly across the board and we are happy to offer the seed to you at prices below last years rate. Monroe County Conservation is offering a wide variety of seed mixes and specialties, as well as bulk black oil sunflower seed. The seed we sell throughout the rest of the year in their gift shop will be priced slightly higher.
Pre-orders are due by October 20. The date for pick-up is Saturday, October 28 from 9:00-1:00 at the EE Center. They will have curbside pick-up for both seed and bird feeders on the day of the sale and throughout the winter to fill all of your bird feeding needs.
For more information, please call Monroe County Conservation at the Center at 570-629-3061, Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
